Breedlove S-Series instruments are custom guitars for players seeking a more subdued aesthetic while retaining all of the rich tone, smooth playability, and superior craftsmanship of a handmade Breedlove. These exclusive editions, the SC25 and SD25, both come with a choice solid Sitka spruce top, the L.R. Baggs Active Element pickup system, an exclusive custom fingerboard inlay, body binding with top and back purfling, an abalone rosette, 25-1/2" scale length, and an ebony bridge, fingerboard, and peghead overlay, as well as a deluxe Breedlove S-Series hardshell case.

Concert body

The SC25 features the comfortable and versatile concert-style body shape with an attractive and very functional smooth cutaway. The soft, pleasing curves of the SC25 snuggle easily against your body and arm for a very satisfying, more intimate playing experience. The back and sides of this SC25 are made from a custom fiddleback maple, selected by Breedlove especially for this exclusive S-Series instrument, offset by black binding.

Solid Sitka spruce top

Sitka spruce has become an industry standard for high-quality tonewood. It is a very versatile top that works well for all styles of playing. The fact that it is presently so abundant has left it under-appreciated, but it is one of the all-time best tonewoods. The color is fairly light when new and takes on a more golden, aged hue over time.

Solid maple back and sides

These maple-bodied guitars boast great clarity, balance, and separation of sound from string to string. In addition, Breedlove's unique carving and bracing process lends them a powerful reservoir of rich, warm response that supplies punch. A Breedlove maple guitar is unlike any other.

L.R. Baggs Active Element System

The L.R. Baggs Element delivers performance previously unattainable from an undersaddle pickup. The streamlined and efficient design removes every unnecessary internal component to improve the coupling between the transducer and the guitar. This substantially improves the sensitivity of the transducer for a robust, lively, and open sound with great dynamics and a delicate high end.

The Element Active System pairs the Element undersaddle transducer with a pre-contoured all-discrete class A endpin preamp and includes a small, removable soundhole-mounted volume control for added convenience and versatility. The entire system is designed to install easily and features plug-and-play performance. Also included is the Battery Bagg for secure battery storage.
